One of the reasons I’m slow to upgrade my switches is that it’s a drag to have to turn off the breakers and do the wiring.
It would be very cool to have a female kind-of bracket that you install one time into the electrical box and then have the switch can just slide in/out of the bracket, without having to turn off the breaker.
it could be an add-on part, like a 2 piece set. one piece would stay in the box, the other piece would be like a thin plate attached to the switch’s wiring screws that you’d pull out of the box, unscrew, put on the new switch, and slide right back in and it’d make contact with the bracket.
kind of the same concept as those lighted wall plates, but different.
