How to disable local dimming, but retain dimming from hub and local on-off control?

I have a Blue 2-1 bound to a Blue Canopy module through Z2M used with home assistant. The room also has a light strip that I’d like to have better physical controls for.

What I’d like is to disable local dimming at the blue 2-1 so that:

  • Canopy lights (on-off) and fan speed are directly controlled by 2-1 through zigbee binding
  • Long-press, rather than dimming canopy, activates an HA automation to control the light strip
  • Hub retains ability to remotely dim the canopy

I don’t want to fully disable local control because that would create friction with turning on the lights in the room if HA went down. And ideally I’d keep the dimming function working in the 2-1 so that I do all canopy module control through the switch entity in HA. Is there a way to remap the function of long-up and long-down without sacrificing the rest of local control?
