Hey all, I’m trying to square away one of the last configuration-related things with my Blue Switch and Hue Bulbs related to speed at which the bulbs turn on.
First, in terms of hardware, in my basement I have a Blue 2-in-1 dimmer wired to 6 pot lights with Philipps Hue BR30 bulbs in them. This particular wiring configuration is a 2-1, neutral setup, with the switch being controlled in Home Assistant using Z2MQTT and configured as a “single pole” setup and set to “smart bulb” mode. I’ve got the bulbs also visible in Z2MQTT and bound to the switch.
When I turn on the switch from either the wall or via Home Assistant, the lights ramp as they turn on. Same for when I turn the switch off, either at the wall or via Home Assistant. However, I read that the lights themselves have a “transition” parameter which you can also control. I set that to 0, and sure enough, when I turn off an individual light in Z2Mqtt, it turns on and off immediately. See here for a video that shows me turning the lights on and off using the switch, then using Home Assistant, and then using Z2M.
I’ve stepped through the posts in the community and I believe I’ve tried most things. Here are screenshots of everything relevant. Would appreciate any help anyone could provide. I feel like this has gotta be something simple, I just can’t figure out what.
