In a 3 way, dumb switch turns off power to white dimmer even though I've connected the neutral

Pretty sure the neutral is connected correctly (see pics in reply), but the Inovelli white switch loses power when I switch the dumb switch in this 3 way circuit.

It sounds like it isn’t wired correctly.

First, make sure the travelers for that 3-way switch circuit are both going to the same cable, in both the box with the smart switch and the box with the dumb switch. The common wire in each box will go to a separate cable along with a neutral wire.

If everything is correct there, remove all wires from the dumb switch and cap them off with wire nuts (don’t connect any of them together). Then, while using a multimeter, make sure you have 120v on the Line wire going to your smart switch. You want to make sure the dumb 3-way is fully removed so it doesn’t interfere with your reading on the smart switch.

When you have checked those things, fixing the travelers if they are not how they should be, and verifying that the smart switch Line wire has 120v when the dumb 3-way is fully removed from the circuit, we can then move forward with additional troubleshooting.

Thanks for the thoughtful response!
Will report back.

@koadic , doh, just figured out that I installed the inovelli white in the wrong 3 way box. So I’ve moved it to the box with the line. So now the switch always gets power.

I also had to use the line/load in separate boxes (neutral wire setup) configuration

Happy to hear that you got it sorted out.
