I’m migrating my Inovelli switches from SmartThings to Home Assistant. One of the key features that I used on SmartThings was the ability to disable local control (i.e., essentially use the paddle as a button for events with the load being always on). I can’t seem to find the parameters on the LZW30-SN that would allow for me to do the same thing with HA. I’m assuming it’s possible with HA (since it was possible with SmartThings)?
Can’t help you with HA, but if you just need to set it and forget it, 8x Config button will toggle that setting.
If you do need to do it programmatically with HA, it would help to know if you are using ZHA or Z2M.
Hi,
I tried the 8x toggle and it worked! Any chance you can share a link to where that’s documented? There are times I’d like to be able to physically turn the switch on/off, and I doubt I’ll remember the 8x thing (unless I put a sticky note on the switch, lol). Thanks for the help!
Neither. I’m using Z-Wave JS.
Ugh . . . I guess w/Zwave that would make sense . . . ![]()
Is there a Zigbee option with this switch? I had thought it only talked Z-Wave.
The Gen2’s, which is what you have, were Z-wave only.
The Gen 3 On/Off switch is available in Z-wave (Red series) and Zigbee (Blue series).
It is definitely possible with HA for the switch to control other devices with automation.
Here are all the configuration items exposed to HA.
