So you mean that the square switches would be installed like this next to each other, right?

Their plan right now is for a single switch. If that’s successful, then they can do multiple switches with 2 and 3 light toggles splitting the square. You can see some early concepts of this in the first post of this thread.
I’m from northern italy (Alto Adige) and here we have about 50% german style square 55mm switches and the other 50% those italian modular switches.
That may only be the case in some border regions and i know we’re a bit of a special case here.
I personally went with the square ones from an austrian brand because i feel they’re way easier to find in the dark and they leave more space for “smartification” while also being less of a nieche product.
Just wanted to give a quick update – I’ve asked the engineer for a timeline on this. I know he’s been working on it, but I haven’t received the official timeline. I’m also going to make a new post with some clear information as this thread was a great brainstorming thread.
You guys are also the test subjects for my super cool automations that I’ve been working on that should improve communication

I’ll be closing out this thread as it was more meant for a brainstorming thread and we’ve accomplished it.
I have it acquired, but I haven’t set it live yet as I’ve been working more on the internal system that ties to all the Shopify sites.
What I’m waiting on is a 3D rendering of the switch so I can have a video made and some actual rendered shots of the product because all I have are placeholders of the North American switch, so it’s a little embarrassing to have the EU site up with North American products
