Red 2-1 + Aux Not Working

I’ve installed a Red 2-1 switch and Aux in my kitchen. I followed the online wiring instructions very carefully for a 3-way neutral wire installation with line/load in the same box (and yes, I’m certain that is the appropriate configuration):

The primary switch works and is in Multi-Way (Aux) mode but the only actions I can get from the Aux are toggling the light using the config button and only turning the light on (not off) using the down paddle. The up paddle doesn’t seem to function at all.

Both switches are brand new, ordered direct last week, received yesterday, and installed today.

What am I missing?

Strike that. Finally figured it out after 2-3 hours of pounding my head on the wall.
