I am using a red 2-1 dimmer as an on/off switch to control a light. I have configured the switch as on/off and added to Home Assistant but in Home Assistant it still shows as a dimmer. Local control is on/off with no dimming. Is there a trick I’m missing?
No trick, it will show up as a dimmer. Any value from 1-100 in Home Assistant will all map to on on the switch.
You could build a template light in home assistant around the dimmer and then hide the dimmer entity if you don’t want to see it.
