I’ve installed a VZW32-SN in a smallish bathroom, connected it to Home Assistant (via Z-Wave JS UI) and in general it works really well for my use case.
One oddity, though: I can’t seem to prevent a ~10-30 sec delay from when presence is cleared to when home assistant registers the “Clear” state. The other direction is almost immediate - i.e., from “Clear” to “Detected” takes at most ~500 ms. But Clearing seems to take a lot longer. I adjusted all the configuration parameters that seemed relevant - i.e., I changed Parameter 108 (Stay Life) from the default 15 seconds down to 10 (i.e., half a second), and I changed Parameter 114 (detection timeout) to 0. The description for 114 in particular seems to indicate that if I set it to a small number like 0 or 1 it should almost immediately send a no-presence report once presence is no longer detected given the stay life. But in practice, that’s not what happens - HA doesn’t see anything for ~10-30 seconds.
Is there anything I can do to speed this up? The current situation is workable but not ideal as I’d really like to use HA actions to tune the delay instead of depending on the switch config…
