Is there anyway to remotely reboot any of the Zigbee switches? I’m using HA with ZHA. I’m on vacation, and I have about half a dozen switches showing unavailable and one motion switch stuck saying it’s detected something when I know there is nothing there. There is no way I can explain to my cat sitter how to pull the air gap.
I really wish these switches were more stable. Barely a week goes by that I don’t have to air gap one of them to fix it. I can’t imagine recommending these to anyone who isn’t a hobbiest.
Odd that you’re having issues with your switches. I have a lot of them and rarely have issues requiring a reboot/air gap.
That said, I am not aware of a way to remotely reboot them. Closest would be to have someone turn off the breaker and turn it back on, or pull the air gap…
I have had issues myself due to power fluctuations. In fact, I had to have my electrician pull the air gap on 3 switches today which were no communicating with Home assistant. They came back online after the air gap.
There is a lot of lightning sometimes and I think the switches are susceptible. I had 5 fail already (warranty return on 2 a few weeks ago, and 3 more failed today. Failure looks like the lights staying on, and the paddles do nothing. The led strip is off and pulling the air gap did not fix the problem.
I have a type 2 surge on the house and adding a type 1 at the meter. I also see light flicker sometimes and pulling the air gap helps.
