Replacing Gen 2 Red Dimmer (LZW31-SN) with latest Red Series (VZW31-SN)

Hello:

I’m hoping I can get a quick response as I have an electrician on the way :frowning:.

I am replacing the Gen2 switch and I just wanted to confirm that the wiring connectors on the switch for the VZW31-SN are the same as the Gen 2 (LZW31-SN). If so I can just tell the electrician to connect the wires exactly how they are currently connected. Thanks for your help.

I’m going to say generally, yes, they’re the same. At least I can’t think of any differences between the two, but that’s from memory.

In an abundance of caution, here are the diagrams for the Gen 2 and Gen 3, so you have them if it’s an issue:

Thanks - they did turn out to be the same. However, I have some strange behavior with one of the switches. Both switches are in 3-way (dumb) switch configuration. One works just fine but in the other one, it works correctly when turned on from the Inovelli switch but flashes continuously when turned on from the “dumb” switch. Any idea of what may cause this?
