Scene control for gen2 on/off scene + notification

@ffingers there is no rush, but I would like to see if i can figure out my lock issues. Please let me know when you can share you test piston. Thank you.

@sean_trini hey sorry been away from the forums for a bit. I’ll get something together this weekend to test.

Tony

sounds good… nothing rush other than a little itch i’d like to scratch and perhaps get rid of. Thanks for the help!

@ffingers, just checking in on the offered help :slight_smile:

@sean_trini

I’ll send you a PM. Sorry, life has gotten in the way of all that is home automation at the moment and am just now getting back to the forums and getting caught up. I will work on a piston for you today and share it to you.

It will be very generic, so we’ll need to work through it. Again, so sorry for the delay. Keep a look out for a PM to figure this out.

I’m trying to work through this. Not quite getting it. I installed my Red On/Off switch in the Classic ST app. I then installed the device handler. I went into the ST IDE and changed the device type to ‘Inovelli Switch LZW30’. I see the Inovelli logo in ST when I select the device. I also see a refresh button and ‘fw 1.09’. I added the child device handler (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/InovelliUSA/SmartThingsInovelli/master/devicetypes/inovelliusa/switch-child-device.src/switch-child-device.groovy).
From here I see no way to control scenes or use the notification LED.
In the ST app for the Gen1 switches there were screen buttons (“Tap ^”, “Tap ^^”, etc) for scene control. I don’t see anything like that for the Gen2 red On/Off switch. I also don’t see the notification LED as a device anywhere, so not sure how I would go about controlling it…

Thoughts?

@KibblesAndBits - You should be using this one for Red Switch - SmartThingsInovelli/devicetypes/inovelliusa/inovelli-switch-red-series-lzw30-sn.src/inovelli-switch-red-series-lzw30-sn.groovy at master · InovelliUSA/SmartThingsInovelli · GitHub

It should be set to LZW30-SN in order to use notifications and scenes.

Thanks. That helped somewhat. I see now the power consumption in the ST app. I still don’t see a way to do scene control or use the notification LED.

(To the Inovelli folks, there is a glitch on the website. if you go to https://inovelli.com/smartthings-device-handlers and then select “LZW30-SN - In-Wall On/Off Switch (Red Series) | Gen 2” it actually takes you to the LZW30 Black section. That’s where I picked up the wrong device handler the first time around. I can’t seem to actually get to the red switch device handler from the Device Handler page on your website.)

Figured out the LED notifications part…just missing the scene control now…
