Smart switch no load / multi gang switch setup

Didn’t know how to best label this topic, but here is the scenario:

multiple rooms where I have two or three switches in a 2 or 3 gang box.

Room1: 3 switches, 1 for ceiling fan, 1 for ceiling fan light and 1 for can lights

The fans I have chosen are DC motors (with integrated wifi bond control) so I really only need mains power to these. I know I can wire nut the fan and light and remove the switch completely, but was wondering what others do in this scenario?
I’ve thought, can I add two smart switches with “line” and use them to send commands to my Home Assistant to turn on the fan or lights without a load on them?

thx,
Mike

If you also have a neutral in those switch boxes that you can use, then yes – line and neutral enable you to use the switch as a (no-load) scene controller. I have several such setups in my house.

But if no neutral, this is not possible – it can’t be done with line power alone.
