Smart Swtiches Toggle Smart Mode

This helps us track issues better in our system and allows for easier searching in the community.I have the blue series dimmer switch set to on/off mode with my smart bulbs connected. A couple days ago my internet went out and the HA integration could no longer communicate with my kasa smart bulbs. I know theres a option on my kasa lights to have it go to 100% and white at the same time if it senses the power go off and come back on. is there a way to program the blue series switch to go from smart bulb mode to nomral on/off mode? Would be ideal if i could just hold down the config button for this function.

Not sure if you’ve solved this on your own yet, or was able to get help elsewhere, but I was just browsing and saw this post…

This can be done as an automation in Home Assistant, and so long as HA is up and running, regardless of your home network connection (provided you have a USB Zigbee dongle and it isn’t and ethernet connected coordinator), it shouldn’t be too hard to set up. I configured it to one of my switches and got it working without too much issue.

The switch I used to test this was my switch for my porch light outside my basement door…

First I added the trigger for holding the config/favorites button, then added an option to choose either to enable or disable smart bulb mode, using a condition to check if it was enabled or not for each choice… as there is no option to “toggle” this setting, only to turn it on or off.
