Step Lights Dim Out of Sync

I’ve got a house full of Inovelli Red 2-1 Dimmers (VZW31-SN) and I use Hubitat to manage them. I’m having an issue with my four step/staircase light (these things). I’m simply trying to dim all four to the same level of brightness (at max brightness they are way too bright for me). However, when I go to dim them with the switch, the two lights nearest to me dim first, followed by the next two. So I can’t get all four to dim at the same rate/same brightness level. Two of the lights are always brighter/dimmer than the other two. It’s very noticeable, it’s almost like my four step lights are being treated as two distinct “groups”. Group 1 dims first, then when those are nearly off, Group 2 dims second.

The weird part is I had these step lights working properly at first (they’d all dim at the same rate, in sync), and then something changed. So I don’t think it’s a wiring issue. I have no idea what changed, I set all my switches up the way I wanted and haven’t touched them since. Then one day, my step lights were out of sync. I have tried playing with a bunch of parameters in Hubitat, but no dice. I’ve deleted the swtich from Hubitat, reset it manually, and added it back 2-3 times over. Same issue keeps happening. Can anyone give me some other suggestions? I can upload a video if my description is confusing.

How many conductors do you have attached to the load terminal?

In most cases, it will be one, because, typically, there is one run to all four lights. If that is the case, then all four lights are receiving the same output from the switch. Which means there is variation between the lights, perhaps a degradation over time.

This is just a WAG, but try reducing the max brightness on the Inovelli, coupled with an increase on the Hubitat side. In theory the waveform should be the same, but who knows . . .
