Toggle switch on/off?

I have a couple of Blue switches and a number of other dumb rocker switches in the house.

The dumb switches all turn on when either the upper or lower rocker is pressed and will turn off when either rocker is pressed too.

I can’t seem to figure out how to get the Blue switches to behave the same way. I just want them to be a simple toggle no matter which side of the rocker I press. Am I missing something or is this not possible without automation?

If so, why? Because this seems like a really simple thing to do. I feel like it must be possible and I’m just missing it?

AFAIK, you will have to do that with an automation. I do not think that is baked into the firmware.

That’s unfortunate as it introduces a lot of lag making the smart switch inferior to the dumb switch!

This seems like it should be trivial to add to the firmware. I found a thread discussing adding it to the Red switches a while ago.
