I have installed a bunch of the White Dimmer switches and everything seems to be working well. I had gone through each of the switches and I had setup the switch manually by using the physical toggles on the switch. Now I’m going back and adding them to Home Assistant. I’m able to get all of the switches connected to Home Assistant the problem is updating the installed version of 1.0.0 to 1.0.5 . I have multiple switches that start the process of updating but just bonk out and stop updating. So they are showing that they need to be updated but the update never actually finishes. Anyone have any ideas on the best way to handle this or trouble shooting steps? Thanks and I appreciate any help provided.
Hi, did you try pulling the tab at the physical switch which will kill power and then restore power? I have 3 white series switches (in both HA and Apple Home). HA showed the FW update first, and I successfully updated them without any manual interaction to 1.0.5 (few weeks ago).
the other thing I’d try if you already pulled the tab on the switch, #1- check what FW is showing, does it show 1.0.0 still? If so, and if you already pulled the tab to kill local power, then restart your HA.
You’ve got this! let us know how it goes.
Sorry for the delay work got swamped. I have been able to get them all to fully update except one. So good news
how did you get them to update?
Honestly I don’t know I kept dinking around and I didn’t take any notes. Now I only have 1 that I can’t get to update. My probelm now is the devices continuously are unavailable in Home Assistant
