VZM31-SN works locally, can't be controlled remotely

Hi,

Trying to diagnose what may be wrong with this switch and would appreciate any thoughts from the community

I’ve got a stable zigbee2mqtt setup, with 19 VZM31-SN switches in use, a total of 75 devices overall.

Recently, one switch stopped responding to any remote commands. Local control works fine. I have tried air-gapping to reset, this didn’t change anything. The switch is on firmware v2.18. It is a single pole setup, controlling one halogen light fixture.

Some of the errors that I’m seeing in the zigbee2mqtt log are as follows

Error when just trying to turn it on / off

2025-02-03 16:51:35z2m: Publish 'set' 'state' to 'BedroomLight' failed: 'Error: ZCL command 0x385b44fffeee1151/1 genOnOff.on({}, {"timeout":10000,"disableResponse":false,"disableRecovery":false,"disableDefaultResponse":false,"direction":0,"srcEndpoint":null,"reservedBits":0,"manufacturerCode":null,"transactionSequenceNumber":null,"writeUndiv":false}) failed (Timeout - 48917 - 1 - 102 - 6 - 11 after 10000ms)'

If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.
thanks

An update - the switch started working properly on it’s own a few days later. I didn’t do any updates to the environment.
