I am trying to set up occupancy zones using ZHA and realize that seems to be an issue quite a few others are having. I don’t want to move to Z2M as I have 100+ devices.
I went through all the steps multiple times and no matter what I don’t seem to be able to read the 0xFC32 binding which I think is required to get this to work correctly.
I even tried GitHub - nickduvall921/mmwave_vis: Inovelli mmWave Visualizer for Z2M and ZHA* · GitHub to see if it will work using their addon visualizer and same problem where 0xFC32 binding doesn’t seem to want to play nice.
Does anyone know how to solve for this? thanks.
Realize it may not be clear but I’ve tried updating to the quirk, that uses the VZM32SN.py python file. I’ve also added the _init_.py file and added the config code to link to it. All of that works and I did get the extra entities to pop up going from 19 to ~80 or so, although some get duplicated so not sure what the real number is quite yet. This seems to be called out here: Update Inovelli VZM32-SN with Device Specific Entities by InovelliUSA · Pull Request #5014 · zigpy/zha-device-handlers · GitHub
But the above issue remains. I cannot properly set up “zones” because we do not get any configuration that allows this exposed. And my gut tells me that is supposed to show up if the binding worked properly.
I have the same issue. Not sure what i am missing?
I don’t think it is easily doable within HA, but using the mmwave visualizer tool, I have been able to configure a 2nd zone on my device. Scroll down and look under Zone Editor where you should be able to draw a square to define the additional zones.
