VZM35 Blue Series Fan Switch not updating state in Hubitat

Something seems off, I just am not sure what it is yet. Comparing with my logs I have some extra info from the switch when I set the speed:

dev:112025-10-21 10:58:14.420 AMtraceInovelli VZM35-SN LEVEL_CONTROL_CLUSTER (cluster:0008 attr:0000 value:56)
dev:112025-10-21 10:58:14.418 AMdebugInovelli VZM35-SN zigbee.getEvent [name:level, value:34]
dev:112025-10-21 10:58:14.416 AMtraceInovelli VZM35-SN parse(read attr - raw: B4230100080800002056, dni: B423, endpoint: 01, cluster: 0008, size: 08, attrId: 0000, encoding: 20, command: 0A, value: 56)
dev:112025-10-21 10:58:14.353 AMtraceInovelli VZM35-SN LEVEL_CONTROL_CLUSTER (cluster:0008 data:[04, 00])

I don’t see that in your logs, but I do see a packet from the LEVEL_CONTROL_CLUSTER. This makes me think the binding is correct. Just to confirm you have all of these enabled? Also set the timeout to 0 so the logging doesn’t turn off:

I hate to recommend a factory reset, but at this point I think it is the next troubleshooting step. If possible, update the driver, remove the device from Hubitat, factory reset the device, add it back.

This time the driver should be automatically selected since I updated the fingerprint.

Hey man, you are definitely not asking too much. I can confirm all three of those logging toggles were active. I did turn the logging back down when I had captured the events manually.

I did exclude, factory reset, and re-include the device early on in my troubleshooting. But I didn’t have your updated driver at that time, so I had to change the device type after it was included and maybe that’s the secret here. So I’m totally open to trying that again. Let me try this evening and see where it gets me.

Success @EricM_Inovelli - this time, when I re-included the switch it detected the driver as expected, and all the commands and status updates are working exactly as expected. Now I need to rebuild all the automations but that’s OK, easy enough to do. Thanks so much for the help with this! Glad it was just a driver and a good reminder for everyone to make sure you keep those up to date
