VZW32-SN - Motion detection not working

Hi

I installed the VZW32-SN (Red) switch in my loft. I am sitting about 20 feet away from it, and it does not detect motion. There is a bookshelf nearby (see picture).

Are there any specific settings I need to set up to detect my presence from that far away?

600cm is the max distance value you can set on any axis, and that’s just under 20 ft. Since real-world performance rarely ever lives up to the theoretical, you are almost certainly out of (consistently reliable) range at 20’.

Is there any other solution? Different power switch?

The easiest solution would be to integrate one or more additional mmW and/or PIR sensors to augment the coverage.

I’m not sure what you mean by “different power switch”, but there’s not a hack that can be done to boost the power or range of Inovelli’s mmW switch.
