I wanted to change the mmWave Load Behavior for my Red series mmWave Dimmer, but had to dig harder than I expected to find the answer (and the Basic Configuration Guide has a much better name for it).
The main parameter reference is missing explanations that are in the Basic Configuration article – things like axis orientation, recommended Z values for fans/pets, what each P113 delay actually is in seconds, how to run interference calibration, and the P117 room presets (including the hardware shortcut). The table below lists what doesn’t line up. Not all of the narrative explanation needs to make it over, but at least a bit more details as to the meanings of the values would be useful to be in the reference doc.
- Reference: Parameters
- “User Manual”: Basic Configuration
Gaps in the Parameters article (present in Basic Configuration):
| Item | Basic Configuration article | Parameters doc |
|---|---|---|
| P101–P106 | Axis perspective note, fan/pet Z ±100 tip | Table only; no section text |
| P110 | Modes 0–6 table (“Light On Presence Behavior”) | Table only (“mmWave Load Behavior”) |
| P111 | Calibration steps, orange LED 30 s, full command list | Table only |
| P112 | What low/medium/high means in practice | Table only |
| P113 | 5 s / 1 s / 0.2 s delays | Table only (“Trigger Speed”) |
| P114 | Load stays on after presence clears | Table only (“Hold Time”) |
| P117 | Preset X/Y/Z boxes, Hold Down + Config ×5 LED map | Missing from parameter table (jumps P116 → P118); no section |
Note: Basic Y-axis defaults 0-600 cm; Parameters table lists -600-600 for P105/P106 - Can we confirm which is correct?
