So I’m setting up a bunch of White 2-1s and its mostly going smoothly, but I have some old dimmer bulbs that aren’t playing nicely. They work properly up to about 60% brightness, then crap out and turn off for anything above that.
I read some where there was a list of verified compatible LED dimmer bulbs for Inovelli switches but can’t seem to find it now.
I’d be surprised if that list had any white-compatible bulbs, since the switch is so new.
If you have a neutral installation, try switching to trailing edge dimming.
hhmmm it’s kind of differently bad now. I can go to higher brightness levels, but now mid and low brightness levels are a problem.
Are leading edge and trailing edge modes mutually exclusive?
Bulbs tend to like one more than the other. Although some will work with either, but better with one than the other.
Hopefully someone will post back with bulbs that are using succesfully.
What bulbs are you currently experiencing an issue with?
If they are old bulbs, are you sure they are dimmer compatible? I.e., were they working with another brand dimmer, and now they don’t since switching to the 2-in-1.
Older LED bulbs (say 10 years ago) didn’t work with dimmers - sometimes you might get lucky, but it was just luck. Newer bulbs are generally designed with dimmers in mind.
