White 2-1 Dimmer (noisy‽)

Just a quick question. Just got my first White 2-1 installed. I notice it makes a quite loud clack sound whenever you toggle it on/off. Wife and I both find this very jarring as previous dumb and smart (UPB) switches were silent operating or very nearly so (UPB buzzes a little when it reports status). Is this normal for the White line? All Innovelli switches? Any plans to make it silent operating?

There should be a setting to disable the relay sound.

I saw a “Relay Click Enable” in the setting, however I haven’t tried it yet.

I have a similar setup than you with old UPB Switches/Dimmers and Aux Switches (HAI) for multi way switching.

Unfortunately, device association/grouping is not supported yet by hubs (therefore I can’t just install smart switches everywhere) and replacing my HAI Aux switches with Innovelli Aux Switches doesn’t pass the WAF  as all current switches have led lights, which is amazing in the dark, when no light is turned on.

Found it! Thanks! That will make a big difference for WAF.

I just tried this on a few switches. The config took on all three switches (LED flashed pink), but the relay sound was only disabled on one of the three. The one that the relay was disabled for was a single pole switch, the multi pole switches did not disable the relay sound. Is it possible to have the relay sound disabled on multiway switches?

Only with aux switches I believe. If you have dumb switches, it utilizes the relay and has to be enabled.

Thanks, I actually just got my Aux switches today so I planned on doing some swapping of the dumb switches anyways. I’ll check it out after the swap.
