I received my first White Fan Switch this morning (thank you!). I have two very different questions. The first (I would guess) is for Inovelli. The switch has software version 1.0.0. Does this have the fixes already incorporated into the white dimmer switch software version 1.0.5 or should we expect an update coming? If so I’m happy to be a beta tester again.
The second relates to Home Assistant (HA) and pushing devices to Homekit via the HomeKit Bridge.
I added the Fan switch to HA and that works fine and I can control the switch as expected within HA.
However when I push the switch to Homekit via the HomeKit Bridge, I get the Fan (good) but I also get 5 other on/off switches showing up whose state relates in some way to the speed of the fan (different speeds turn different switches on and off depending on the speed of the fan). These have no useful function as far as I can see so I wondered if anyone had any idea how to filter them out (with a template or similar) before they are sent to Homekit. I have some Hunter Homekit compatible ceiling fans that appear directly in Homekit and they do not show this issue.
See the attached images. Note: ignore the “Homebridge” room designation. Homebridge is not involve in this at all, it’s just the default room where I park stuff until it is installed.
Any thoughts appreciated.
