I purchased 5 of the White Series Dimmers and was expecting to have power monitoring, per the website “energy monitoring is not available in a non-neutral setup” and the Project Jonagold description “Power Monitoring: switch should measure the power consumption”, however after installing, it doesn’t appear that the switch is exposing any power monitoring. Is this something that is coming in a future update, is it an issue with my platforms (HomeAssistant and HomeKit), or is it not supported on the hardware?
Other then the lack of power monitoring, the install went flawlessly and has really gotten me excited for switching more of my light switches to matter/thread
FWIW, I do not see any power monitoring entries in HA for my VTM31-SN 2-1 either (never connected with HomeKit). Latest release switch firmware, latest HA version, HomePod Mini with latest firmware as TBR, connected by a lamp cord with no load for extended Thread/Matter connectivity testing…
The current firmware is based on Matter 1.1 which did not support energy monitoring. I understand Inovelli is planning to do an update in 2025 that will add Matter energy reporting (the hardware itself has the feature, it’s a Matter version update issue).
