They just don’t display there. The switches only operate on thread. If they’re available they’re on your thread network. If they’re unavailable they are not.
My Aqara matter over thread contact sensors don’t show up in there either. Likely a Matter issue more so than anything else as non-Matter thread devices do show up in there.
Seems to be a lot of misconceptions here. A lot of people don’t understand thread or matter. The switch doesn’t have a WiFi radio in it, therefore it has no ability to communicate via WiFi. If it used WiFi it would show in your router’s DHCP table as it would need an IP address to communicate over WiFi. It only uses Thread, regardless of what your 3rd party apps show about the switch that just came out to market. If you absolutely must see details on its connection, use Home Assistant.
thanks, CroVlado, I am constantly learning about smart home devices. With that said, one of the many reasons, I liked this switch a lot was it stated it used thread. And I am used to seeing all my Thread communicating devices in the Eve app ‘thread network’ section. thanks for taking the time to explain to me there is no wifi radio inside the switch.
Interesting. I just looked in the Eve app and none of my Inovelli switches are showing in the rooms like the other Matter over Thread devices. Wonder if they are in the UNKNOWN room section at the bottom. They show up fine in the Eve app just not in the Thread Network section.
