White series fan/light combo died?

Came back from a trip and this switch with the accompanying canopy module is no longer working. The LED lights are on, but the physical switch isn’t working.
I had this happen once before, and it was still connected via HomeKit and controllable. I pulled the air gap and it reset fine.
This time… it’s not connected to HomeKit and resetting via airgap doesn’t fix it.
I did the extra reset (20 seconds with config button and up paddle). Still not even basic functionality with the light (although I’m wondering is that expected after that reset… and I need to start all the pairing/programming again?).
And is this just a bad switch and I should RMA it?
(I could live with the occasional losing HomeKit connectivity, but I need the switch to still work ‘manually’ for spousal reasons at all times)

@paul_voorn can you provide more details for you situation. What kind of load smart bulb, dumb bulb, neutral, 3-way, total wattage of the installed load etc?
