@woody.eadie can you submit an RMA request for the first switch?
For the unresponsive paddle issue, our engineers have been able to replicate the issue and believe they have identified the root cause and a firmware fix. I should be getting the firmware file tomorrow with additional information about what is going on.
Joining in ⦠I have mine up and running no problem the last couple of days on a test bed on my desktop and have been playing with the HA UI settings and looking at the Matter Clusters and the like. I have not yet tried any external button based configs but would like to, but wanted to first ask is it the button configs that is triggering the problem?
Add another to the bathroom-fan button/on light becoming non-responsive until pulling the airgap, and it is good to hear it is reproducible. It can still be controlled by Home Assistant afterwards.
I wasnāt sure until I started playing with the Local Timer function, questions about which can wait until this is patched.
Iāve got home assistant and am happy to help test!
Iād been going back and forth with support on the unresponsive paddle issue for about a week and was ready to return it but would rather keep it if we can make it work!
I believe Iām having the same issue. White Series On/Off Switch, Home Assistant Core 2025.10.3. I canāt find the version number for Matter or Thread or OTBR, but they are all up to date.
I can control the device Load Control from Home Assistant, but that is the only thing that works. I am unable to change anything with the LED notification bar. The paddles on the switch itself do not work - I can only control the Load through HA. I do not see any Events show up from any of the three buttons in HA.
This sounds to me like the same issue and Iād be happy to test the new firmware.
I recently added the White Series On/Off switch to my SmartThings hub after installing the Edge driver from your channel. However, the device is recognized as a Matter switch and defaults to the SmartThings Matter driver instead of the Inovelli Edge driver.
Upon pairing, it creates two child devices:
One behaves like a color LED bulb (for the LED bar)
The other is an On/On switch (for the fan)
Unfortunately, I donāt see the humidity sensor exposed. If I manually switch the main deviceās driver to āMatter Sensor,ā I do get humidity readingsābut then the child devices stop responding to commands.
Is there an Edge driver I may have missed that properly supports all features, including humidity and child device control? Or should I wait for a firmware update to resolve this conflict?
If so and ST is defaulting to their driver, it may be a fingerprint issue causing the Inovelli driver to not be selected.
See if you can manually change to the Inovelli driver. From the deviceās page, select the Kebab menu at the top right, Driver, Select different driver.
Thanks! Yes, I already have that driver installed and itās working fine with my White Series Dimmer models.
In the list of available drivers, I only see āMatter Switchā and āMatter Sensor,ā both provided by SmartThings. Switching to āMatter Sensorā exposes the humidity readings, but disables control of the child devices. Unfortunately, Iām not offered any Inovelli-specific driver for this switch.
I agree with youāthe fingerprint mismatch seems like a likely cause of the issue.
Okee dokee⦠Iāve upgraded to the new firmware, and Iām still getting the same behavior. After one cycle, the paddles and LED bar stop responding. I can continue to turn it on and off through Home Assistant or Apple Home. Both platforms are showing the new firmware version.
