Over the last 5 months I have installed 20+ White Series Smart Dimmers, everything has been great, however I moved over to Home Assistant from HomeKit to have better control and general functionality. All of my other switches have moved over seamlessly, However one that was control the under cabinet lights in the kitchen went dark during pairing to HA (no lights on the LED bar) lights are on, but won’t turn off unless I air gap the switch. I have cycled the breaker, attempted a hard reset, but the LED light never comes on. Can’t imagine it would fail mechanically during a pairing, but have no clue what to try now.
What undercabinet lights are you using?
It is powering three xenon task lights, It worked flawlessly from April until yesterday when I removed it from HomeKit, and tried to add it to Home Assistant.
Did you link the correct product? The light that you linked is not a xenon light. It’s a LED light that I suspect isn’t compatible with the White dimmer. If that’s the case, the switch may have failed because it’s being used with an incompatible fixture. The timing is strange, admittantly.
If it really is a xenon light, rather than a LED, note that these dimmers are not compatible with the magnetic transformers that are used for high-wattage lights like Xenon. I’ve had a few burn out before I checked the specs. for the dimmers and discovered that.
