White Series - Soft Reset/Reboot

I’m new to Inovelli so my question may have already been answered though I did not find it on a quick search.

I’m aware of the command sequence to factory reset the switch however I wondered if there was an equivalent soft reset/reboot command that just reboots the software without changing the configuration or pairing. I’m new to the Thread/Matter world however I found that being able to do this on an unresponsive Wemo Wifi or Thread switch was much more effective than power recycling a whole circuit breaker worth of switches.

Any guidance appreciated!

Under the bottom of the paddle, there is a small physical power cut-off tab. Pull that out (power off), then push it back in and the device will reboot.

Pull the air gap on the front of the switch.

Excellent, thank you. I had maybe misread the manual which (I think) said that the air-gap disconnected the load rather the line. That gives me exactly what I needed. Thank you.

That doesn’t work for me.

Today one of my switch stopped responding physically. It shows the faint blue light but no presses do anything. I pulled the air gap but it remains ON. I guess it only disconnects the load, not the switch itself.

Any other option apart from trying a factory reset or having to switch power for the enitre house :-/ ?

If you wired it with the line (hot) going to the correct terminal on the switch, the air gap should cut power to the switch and the load.

Sometimes you have to pull them out farther than you expect for it to cut the power.

Or you may have a switch with a bad air gap at which point, you’ll have to flip the breaker to reboot it and I’d recommend filing a support ticket to get the switch replaced.
