@EricM_Inovelli any ideas for what I can do with these two switches?
For anyone following along, @EricM_Inovelli sent me a harness to manually re-flash the firmware back to 2.00. After doing this to both of my problematic switches, I was able to update the firmware to 2.18 (latest as of today) successfully.
Note that after flashing the firmware, I initially had some errors connecting Z2M to the switch, so I had to restart the add-on. During my troubleshooting I also re-paired and reconfigured the switches, but Iām not sure which of these 3 things (or which combination of them) did the trick, but now everything is working properly. I also had to re-set a few settings that were lost, but that was quick and easy to do once Z2M could speak to the switches again.
Thanks everyone for your help here!
I am having the same issue with one of my switches, is it possible to get this harness, or a schematic for it so that I can manually re-flash the firmware?
Also having the same issue. Have 6 switches stuck on 2.15 (0x0102020f). Updates to 2.18 (0x01020212) get to 100% but donāt take. The upgrade process takes close to 30 minutes, so it seems to actually be doing something. The final application is just failing.
Iāve tried factory resets, turning off 2.4gz wifi, and moving the switches close to the zigbee hub but none of it has worked so far.
I recently noticed that the OTA update issue (of many months agoā¦) was fixed so I switched my Home Assistant config YAML for OTA updates back to TRUE. The available updates appears within a few mins in the Settings - Updates area.
Count me as someone with the āa couple devices (of many) wonāt updateā issue. Iām on ZHA. 4 of my 25-ish Inovelli blues go through the update to 100% and then reboot but the firmware seemingly doesnāt install and they continue to remain on the udpates list. The other 21 went perfectly. So far, i have tried (a) power off-reset (pull hardware circuit tab), (b) Up-Config factory reset process, and (c) removing device from ZHA and adding back.
Prior to this, I had noted that all 4 of the ones that wonāt update had been on zhaquirks v11 (along with several others that did update). So the ZHA-removal and add-back updated quirks to v12 but didnāt fix the non-updating issue.
Anything else I can try? They all have very good zigbee signal and I am certain they do complete the firmware upload to 100%
On a ānot likely relatedā but adjacent note, I see about 10 of my 25 switches continue to be on quirks v11 (and also updated to 2.18 successfullyā¦) Should remove these from ZHA and add them back just to update the quirks version to v12? Iām not totally plugged in to zigbee and Iām not sure what role the quirks version playsā¦
Pretty sure Iām not missing anything by having these 4 stay on firmware 2.15, but just a bit obsessive with keeping my systems updated and in sync with latest updates.
Iāve also got a switch stuck on 2.14 over here via ZHA. Installs to 100% but doesnāt actually finish update. Any advice for us @EricM_Inovelli beyond already mentioned (resets, etc)?
Anyone in the stuck update process, please PM me and I will help troubleshoot the problem. Some devices will need a USB flasher be sent to you but sometimes we can work out a different solution.
