Hey everyone, I currently have over ten White Series switches in my home and I’ve set all of them to be dimmers. Today I received a new one and was setting it up as usual, which included setting it to dimmer mode by holding down and tapping the config button 3x. Normally this will cause the LED bar to flash orange and the switch will become a dimmer.
However, this one specific switch does not do this. Instead, it flashed two non-orange colors and then went back to its default blue. The non-orange colors were cyan purple I think or cyan yellow, unfortunately I forgot but I’ve already taken the switch out.
I tried other quick tap sequences which worked successfully. For example I was able to set the switch to aux mode and I even tried holding up and pressing config 3x to “disable” dimmer mode (which was already disabled) and got the correct flash of red.
Does anyone know what might be wrong with my switch? Is it stuck in some weird mode that prevents setting it as a dimmer? This issue persisted across multiple factory resets.
