Fan integration with Google Home not working

Hi. I was having an issue where my canopy fan stopped working in Google Home. To try and fix this, I unlinked the fan from my Google Home app. Then I updated the canopy, fan, and light drivers to the latest versions - which mention google home fixes in their changelogs.

Now when I go to add the Inovelli Fan Canopy Fan back to Google Home, I get a “Could not reach Hubitat. Please try again later” error. However, if I only add the Inovelli Fan Canopy Light to Google Home (without trying to add the Fan), that error does not appear, and the light gets added to Google Home. I came across this thread, which describes that the “Could not reach Hubitat” error is because of incompatible fan drivers.

I’m unable to figure out how to get the Fan added back to Google Home.

@EricM_Inovelli - Is it possible that the drivers are the issue? I confirmed that I’m using the latest versions (dated 2024-11-12). Thanks!

Is your driver updated in Hubitat?

Yes, I am using the latest driver versions for the canopy, light, and fan.

There was a change in Hubitat that caused issues with Google Home, but I am pretty sure I updated the driver for it a while ago. Are you on the latest Hubitat firmware?

Edit: try hitting the “configure” and “refresh” button in the device page. Something might not be initialized since updating the driver.

Hitting “configure” and “refresh” did the trick. Thanks for your help!
