Trying to get white series connected to ZBT-2 now after trying sonoff dongle max. I plugged in the ZBT-2 added it to HA and selected thread. It flashed firmware and now i have Matter, Open Thread Border Router and Thread in Integrations. When adding white series to HA on iPhone app I can scan the QR code and it tries to connect, bet never goes through. Do I have some setting wrong? should white series connect to HA through ZBT-2?
Did you either pull the air gap before trying to add, or factory reset the switches first? I had that issue initially, I think they have a 1-2 hour timeout after “boot-up” where the switches are willing to pair. After that they are not. So pulling the air gap (rebooting the switch) or a factory reset, seemed to solve it for me.
Also, and I don’t know this is strictly necessary but I think it was…. In the Home Assistant App on your phone, there is a setting to “Send Credentials to Phone” for the Thread Network. I think that’s necessary. I did it anyway and it did work.
Thanks for the reply! What did the trick is changing client address assignment to DCHPv6. It was on SLAAC and that doesn’t work.
I have one switch left here I can’t get connected up. It’s in the middle on a 3 gang. I try that cut the power to it idea and see what happens. It’s almost like it’s on a completely different firmware or something because the light pattern is different the all the wiring devices
I’m on SLAAC just fine.
