Is my Fan+Light switch killing my bulbs?

I bought new bulbs for my ceiling fan. They dim, and at max brightness they give off daylight temps, while at lower levels they give off warmer temps. After a couple months, one of them failed and can no longer go above ~50%, thus no white light. See here (top right):

And then as of this morning, massive failure:

Only ONE working bulb. This is my third set of bulbs (the first two were known to fail this way over time).

What are the chances the issue is from my Red Series Fan + Light Switch (Z-Wave)?

What switch are you using? There isn’t a “Red Series Fan + Light Switch (Z-Wave)”.

Also, what bulbs are you using?

There sure is. Inovelli Z-Wave Fan & Light Switch (Red Series) | ZWave Fan Control & Light Dimmer | Independent Controller of Fan Speed & Light Bulbs - Amazon.com

Just because they don’t sell it anymore doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. A google search brought up many references. But also, I didn’t just guess that name, I copy and pasted it from my receipt email from Inovelli.

I used a bunch of Philips dimmables, and now I’m using some other brand of extra bright bulbs. Unfortunately all of them do as the photos show and stop being able to reach their max brightness.

Got it. I wouldn’t think the canopy module is killing bulbs, so long as the canopy module has the outputs wired properly. (You’d know right away because the light paddle would control the fan and vice versa).

If someone else has had that issue, hopefully they’ll post back. But I don’t recall that ever being a complaint here.

The switch is not actually directly connected to the fan’s power. The fan is powered from another room, and the switch controls it via the little inserted piece of hardware that it remotely connects to.

I’m wondering if maybe it’s just my bulbs. It’s happened to a LOT of bulbs though. But they were all variants on Philips’ Ultra Definition.

Yep, that is the canopy module I referred to.

It could be the bulbs, certainly. Take a look at the thread below. Ultimately the OP found a “suitable” bulb for the LZW36, although the initial complaint was that the bulbs were flickering, not failing early.
