I recently posted a similar issue with my VZM36 Canopy module running 1.01 (LINK) with a short video attached, and have also noticed it on one of the VZM31-SN Dimmers on the same circuit running “Unknown” 20251226 (App: 0.1 build 2 Stack: 0.3 build 4)… all 5 of my dimmers are updated, but only one shows 3.04 for the firmware version but all have the same date, the other 4, including the one I am having an issue with, show as Unknown.
Is this version of the firmware for the Dimmers supposed to have fixed this issue? as I have experienced that it is still an issue. To help alleviate the issue, I have switched back to leading edge dimming, as it doesn’t seem to be happening as much on the Dimmer, but still affects the Canopy module even though it is sort of reversed…
On my Canopy module, set to trailing edge, the lights will temporarily get dimmer until they level out to the set level, but with leading edge, the lights will temporarily get brighter until they level out.
The Canopy module is running 2 “60w” 800Lm Philips Ultra Definition A19 bulbs, and the Dimmer is connected to 4 ceiling mount fixtures with a total of 12 of the same bulbs installed.
@EricM_Inovelli If the offer to do some testing for the VZM36 is still on the table, I’d be happy to help. I have 2, but have only witnessed the issue on one of them as it is in my personal bedroom and I like to keep the lights low but on.
