I seem to be experiencing an issue with my Blue Fan/Light Canopy module, in that my previous WiFi canopy module didn’t have this behavior…
For some reason, without touching any switches or controls, my lights will occasionally dim much lower than their setting, sit there like that for anywhere from 15 to 60 seconds, and then return to normal. While this will happen at any dimming level, it is much more noticeable when the lights are dimmed very low and I end up losing almost all my light. Other lights throughout the house connected to my recently installed Inovelli dimmers don’t seem to have this issue.
Here is a short 1 minute video I uploaded to YouTube demonstrating this issue…
This was at 12:45AM, practically nothing else running in the house, no recorded voltage dips/spikes from the wired On/Off switch (VZM30-SN; voltage was steady) feeding the Canopy module via the Load connection… It’s not like the dimming setting could be set any lower, as I have a minimum level of 24 set on the module (10%) and the switch was at its lowest level during this video clip (1%).
This also happened when I had a Dimmer (VZM31-SN) bound to the Canopy module and both Line in and Load were connected together at the Line connection on the switch. I hesitated posting it before switching as I had already planned on swapping the switch and didn’t want it to just magically go away after doing so.
Is this something that is common with the Canopy modules? Something uncommon but known? Or I the only one who has experienced this and asked about it?
