I’ve had an LZW30-SN and an ancient Z-Wave GE switch in our unheated/detached garage with a dirt floor for years here in upstate NY. I also had a second GE switch located under the not-rainproof bilco door leading to our basement for a few years, which did fail for some reason. It was replaced with an open-box LZW30-SN from Inovelli’s occasional scratch-and-dent deals, and that has also been working fine for a few years now in a location that is as close to outdoors as possible…
I was reacting to @Eric_Inovelli October 16 post where he mentions mmWave being part of the project now, maybe that’s no longer happening, but it is still available to read above.
Eve is in Germany, but their outlets are only for use down to 15° F, I’m saying that doesn’t always mean their products are meant to withstand the outdoor elements of their location.
The mmWave switch is a different switch that won’t be out for at least another year probably in a Matter/Thread configuration. They’ll be in the $100/switch range.
The tech specs of the on/off switch list 32-95°F but that’s more than like a CYA number (personal opinion)
I know it’s not the same but I have regular smart outlets I use outside for holiday lights all winter long when it can get down to -15°F and I haven’t had a failure yet. I mention that only because this switch works on the same principles, just a relay switching power.
@Eric_Inovelli @EricM_Inovelli if you still need beta testers for this project, I’d be happy to participate and test in my Apple home. I have a few spots around the house that would work well for testing.
Getting excited to see this product move to phase 6 - mass production. Hopefully some updates soon.
curious where you see that it has moved to phase 6.
Can we get an updated set of dates and/or timeline on the product page? It’s understandable that dates have slipped. I’d just like to be able watch progress. This switch is going to be my first Inovelli and I’m excited to get started!
Does Inovelli still monitor this forum? This thread hasn’t seen any updates in nearly a year.
Hi there,
A quick update on our White Series On/Off switch. We are still working on getting a couple extra features added to the switch. We don’t have an exact ETA on when production will start, but we are hoping in the next couple of weeks. This will likely have a mid-September release, although that date is subject to change. Thank you for your patience on this!
Just wanted to pop in and say that I just put up the On/Off switch for pre-order here: White Series (Thread/Matter) - Smart On/Off Switch – Inovelli
I had been going back and forth on whether or not to put it up for pre-order as we only ordered a limited quantity as I didn’t think the On/Off would be such a big hit (as compared to the Dimmer), but I’ve been proven wrong with our Blue Series switch and we ran out of stock.
However, @Courtney_Inovelli was able to convince me to put it up temporarily for her birthday today. So, hopefully everyone can enjoy her birthday with her and show some support for the White Series On/Off switch!
The pre-order pricing will be valid through August 21st at 11:59pm PST since the product is actually in production right now.
Happy birthday Courtney!
Would like to use this with a bathroom fan. What do I need to look at to make sure will to work?
It should work without any issues. It’s a simple relay that makes the connection like a standard switch. One of the use cases is for a bathroom exhaust fan.
My credit card statement rollsover on Monday. Hopefully they are still available for pre-order by then.
Sweet. Thanks.
Anyone getting some overcharges? $674 is becoming 807.50 on PayPal, and 880+ on Google pay… Taxes don’t account for that.
Edit: SHOP had a list… Preorder discount not being applied. Also, shipping on Google pay and Shop, but not paypal.
Edit 2: Not sure if it is fixed, but got it to go through at the proper price.
i saw it too. if you click the pay option on the checkout page it does this, if you click checkout then click pay it works.
Hey there,
I’m trying to order a 5 pack of the White Series (Thread/Matter) - Smart On/Off Switch. The subtotal is listed as $260 but when I go to check out, the price in Apple Pay, Pay Pal and Amazon Pay is ~$350. The subtotal listed is $325 for the checkout, which is incorrect.
Thanks, I’m excited to pre-order the switches, so I’m hoping this gets fixed before the sale price “ends”.
I merged your post into this thread since there are other users who are also seeing the same problem.
Tagging @Eric_Inovelli or @Lance_Inovelli to see if they can help.
Thank you for merging the post. I searched but didn’t see this. I can confirm that bigDvette’s solution worked for me. I had to click the tiny

text on the cart page and then I was able to checkout with the discount.
