@rohan and @RSmith I will reach out to @Eric_Inovelli and see if this can be fixed.
I know this isn’t perfectly on topic, but trying to decide if putting this in my master bath would work or not. I am planning to automate my exhaust fan with it, but my fan is about 12-15 feet from my shower.
Anyone here have experience using a humidity sensor that far from their shower to kick on their fan when humidity increases by X%?
I’ve beta tested this switch for ~6 months and it’s a similar distance from my shower; it works great to automate the exhaust fan when someone is showering.
I have seen a few people comment that the sensor isn’t super accurate, however I use Blacky’s Humidity Exhaust Fan blueprint (🚿 Bathroom Humidity Exhaust Fan - Blueprints Exchange - Home Assistant Community) which relies on a derivative sensor, thus the accuracy isn’t that important since it’s triggered based on significant changes in humidity.
As a bonus, the bidet is connected to a smart plug with energy monitoring, so the exhaust fan is fully automated.
Thank you, this is super helpful! Now I need to put a smart plug on my bidet as well!
Lol, love it! Many years ago I told myself I’d never do such a thing. Then ~5 minutes after installing the on/off switch I realized how incredibly simple it would be (already had the bidet on a smart plug) and a few minutes later I was done automating toilet use. Guess I am that guy ![]()
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to provide a quick update on this project:
The White Series On/Off switches are currently in mass production! We will provide you with another update when production ends and shipping to HQ begins!
Thank you for your patience on this!
Been away for a little while. I see the switch listed in the pre-orders but did I miss on the pre-order pricing or is there on pre-order discount pricing this time around?
I think you missed it by a couple of weeks. See Thread / Matter On/Off Switch | Project Vernacular - #54 by Eric_Inovelli
Ahh. Well dang. Thanks for pointing me to the right place.
We put the White Dimmers everywhere throughout our house, and they have been amazing in almost every location. We have a bathroom fan/light combo (fan is always on so not using switch for that) where the White Dimmer leaked enough voltage in the off position that the bathroom light had a faint flicker even when the dimmer was off. The Aeotec bypass didn’t help eliminate the flicker so we went back to a dumb switch. Will the On/Off Switch solve this problem for us?
It should. It’s relay-based.
Hey @Kaleb_Inovelli : Just wondering if you think the “Late September, Early October” date listed on the White Series On/Off page was still achievable? Looks like the last update was 2.5 weeks ago saying it was still in mass production.
I’m guessing Sept is a no-go, but hoping October still possible? (And might be worth updating the product page too)
Hi there,
Mass production on the White Series On/Off switch is completed, and is now shipping to HQ. The ETA on the delivery of these switches to customers is mid to late October. We are getting close to finishing this project up!
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.
Awesome news!! Thanks very much for the update
any chance we can get another round of sale? I ordered 10 before but it looks like I need 5 more.
@tsw0599 : Isn’t the product page letting you order them? For me, it says Preorder, but allows adding to cart.
I was wondering if there will be another round of sale for 20% off.
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to provide a quick update for you all. We just received the White Series On/Off switches yesterday and started shipping them out to customers. Please be patient as we fulfill the large number of backorders that we have.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Hi I got the tracking last Friday. But the package is still no received by USPS. Should I worry about it?
Probably not at this point. When they do bulk shipping, they print a lot of labels at once, even though the items may not be packaged for shipping immediately. I’d say if you don’t see tracking movement in another week, then reach out to support via email.
