The current Zigbee Binding guide (Setting Up Zigbee Bindings • Home Assistant - ZHA | Inovelli Help Center) does not seem current with either the VZM32-SN switch or the latest Home Assistant UI now that the switch is fully supported by ZHA. While I have figured most of it out on my own, I do have a couple of remaining questions:
-
I created a group of lights by going to
Settings > Zigbee > Groupsand choosing+ Create Groupand adding the 3 Hue Lights. I did not include the switch itself in the group. QUESTION: Should the switch be included in the group? -
On the VZM32-SN device page (
Settings > Zigbee > Devices > VZM32-SN switch) I enabled theSmart bulb modeConfiguration property. -
I selected
Manage Zigbee Devicefrom the 3-dot menu to the right of “Reconfigure” option on the Switch device page, and chose theBindingstab. -
In the Group binding section of this tab, I selected the light group I created. The VZM32-SN switch has two different endpoints that have “Identity”, “LevelControl” and “OnOff” binding options, Enpoint ID 2 and Endpoint ID 3. Endpoint ID 2 also has an option “InovelliVZM32SNCluster” (0zdx31). QUESTION: Which of these bind points need to be bound to the light group?
I’m hoping the switch will always reflect the state of the light group after binding is done correctly. Thanks for any insights.
