VTM31-SN multiway: physical binding works, but syncing the other companion’s level causes jitter

Hi, I have several multiway circuits with Inovelli White VTM31-SN dimmers. One switch controls the load; the other White switches act as companions. All the affected switches I checked are on firmware 1.1.6r3.

Matter bindings work well for physical control. When I dim from one companion, the main switch and the actual light follow it smoothly in real time. The problem is that the other companion doesn’t follow the new level.

I’d like all the companions’ displayed/reported levels to follow the main switch, including when brightness is changed from Home Assistant or Alexa. But when I mirror the main switch’s brightness to the other companion from Home Assistant, the circuit jitters. I tried per-circuit automations, debouncing, suppressing writes during a hold, and reconciling after release; none fixed it. Mirroring only on/off is stable, but companion levels can be stale.

My suspicion is that a companion’s Light Load Control endpoint isn’t a passive status mirror, and writing brightness to it affects the control path. Is that expected on 1.1.6r3?

Is there a supported configuration or binding setup where all the companions’ level indicators follow the main switch without issuing their own level-control commands? In particular, does Endpoint 22’s “Remote Only with Bindings” mode help with this?

If this isn’t supported today, could the firmware provide a separate way for companions to mirror the main switch’s level without controlling the load? That would let the paddles keep working through bindings while keeping all the displayed levels in sync.
