VZM30-SN (Blue Series On/Off) Local Configuration Table doesn't match my hardware

I just installed my VZM30-SN (Blue Series On/Off with Humidity Sensor) that I purchased several months ago. When I went to change the LED intensity settings for both on and off, I used this table, which told me to go to settings number 4 and 5: Blue Series On/Off Switch • Button Combinations, Quick Tap Sequences & Local Configuration Options | Inovelli Help Center

However, neither of those settings did what I was expecting. While in either of those settings, I saw the yellow LED flash 4 (or 5) times as expected. Then when I pressed the paddle up or down, I saw a purple LED flash to indicate the number of times I had pressed the paddle (possibly a max value of 1 or 2; I honestly didn’t pay a lot of attention to that). I chose the 0 value (no purple flashes), then saved the setting, and my on/off LED intensities didn’t change.

After some trial and error, I was able to discover that settings 8 and 9 were what I wanted (again carefully counting the number of yellow flashed to make sure it matched the number of times I press the configuration button). Number 8 is the Off LED intensity, and number 9 is for the On. After the yellow flashes, the LED changed to represent the current color and intensity, and it’s brightness responded to my paddle presses. The published table only goes up to 7. I also happened to discover that settings 6 and 7 are some kind of color setting, I’m guessing for the on/off LED colors, but I left them on blue, so can’t confirm for sure. The table lists setting 6 as “Load Level Indicator Timeout” and 7 as “Switch Delay Time”

Firmware: When I first powered on the switch, the version 1.01. I know that settings 4 and 5 were not the LED intensity settings, but I didn’t troubleshoot very much before updating to 1.03. After updating, I discovered the full behavior I described above.

Also, in case it matters, I did put the switch into zero-delay mode almost immediately after installation.

Does this make any sense at all? Do you happen to have an updated table that will match my device? For what it’s worth, at the same time I installed a VZM31-SN dimmer, and it’s LED intensity settings seemed to match its table (10 and 11).

Thanks for the help

I’m not sure if those quick taps are correct or not, but I’ll suggest an alternative.

First, don’t use the Local Configuration Table links in the document you referenced, because they point to the wrong document. Instead, scroll down to see the quick taps.

But instead of using the quick tap, I’d just set the parameters via HA. The ones you want are 96 and 97. The full table is below.

Awesome, thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely just use the parameters over zigbee going forward. I forgot that facility even existed.

The quick-tap table that I posted appears to be the same as the first link on the resources page for my switch: https://help.inovelli.com/en/collections/11098694-blue-series-on-off-switch

It’s definitely possible I’m missing something, but maybe a documentation update (or a link update) is needed?
