I just realized that there is a quick start setting for the white wall switch so a light will come on instantly.
I have a white canopy module and am curious if there’s an equivalent setting available for the canopy? I can’t seem to find the manual online (and mine is packed in the attic)
I checked the online and PDF manual for the White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module VTM36 but there’s no info on how to adjust this setting. I checked the Blue Series Fan/Light Canopy Module manual and while there’s a placeholder link for Quick Tap Sequences, there is not any page available. The prospect of Quick Tap Sequences and their existence in switches makes me think that it may be possible to create an instant on for the light with no ramp in the dimming level.
Are there any methods for adjusting this setting (I.e., particular hub)?
What controller are you using?
Matter supports the “On Transition Time” and “Off Transition Time” parameters. These can be set from Home Assistant (but, even though they are standard Matter settings, Apple and Google Home don’t give a way to set them).
