White Dimmer (VTM31-SN) Wiring or Power Issue

I have an Apple Home ecosystem and my main issue so far is that it becomes unresponsive very often!

I added the switch to Home successfully and have it in Smart Mode but when I go to add scenes to the “switches” it goes No Response just about every time I press something. I just did a full reset right before writing this post and it’s the same thing. After a few seconds the switch looks to be repsonding… until I go to press a button again.

I just bought the latest gen AppleTV to use as the main, ethernet connected hub and things were kinda wonky with some other devices but re-adding the hub fixed it.

Im pretty sure I have the switch wired correctly but on the off chance I dont, when the switch is in it’s default state(after reset) the off button would do the “relay click” and then the light bar would flash colors then back to blue. Is that normal operation? The on button didn’t have a click.

If the relay is enabled, it should click in both directions. Also, do you see the flashing colors like you do when you pull and re-engage the air gap? If so, that is the switch rebooting. It shouldn’t do that. That suggests either a wiring error or the need for a bypass, particularly if this is a non-neutral.

Ok… Well then I gotta re-check the wiring. That could be contributing to the “no response” issue.

Might as well start from the beginning.

Non-neutral?

It’s Neutral.
