Interesting, I’ll have to see if I can figure out if anything correlates with the different reported positions.

Is it supposed to come out further than this? I’m guessing yes since the led bar is still on, but I cannot get it to budge past this point. I even tried pulling with pliers and all the plastic parts around it started bending out so I stopped.

New issue I’ve encountered (which is why I’m trying to reboot the switch): one of three switches has stopped reporting button presses. It also seemed to revert some settings, like it turned back into dimmer mode. It is still in smart bulb mode per the preferences page (in Hubitat).

Motion reporting still works, but button presses aren’t being sent at all. My source for that is with all logging turned on, nothing about the button scenes or even unknown data comes through on a button press. Button presses do turn the switch “on and off” (but it’s in smart bulb mode) and that status is also getting reported. The other two switches are reporting button presses still.

Anyone seen something like this?

Firmware version 1 (20250926) and driver date 2026-05-26.

No, that looks about right. One of mine is below.

While it’s possible the switch is faulty, it’s more likely that you have wired it incorrectly. If the line and load are reversed, I believe the air gap won’t work correctly. The first thing I would check would be your wiring.

One thing I’ve noticed on my switches running 1.02 (Z2M, HA) is that the AutoTimerOff animation gets confused when the light turns off before the timer expires (either from a lack of occupancy or from manually pressing the switch).

The light bar will momentarily show the correct “off” color then go back to flashing the countdown for a while, even though the light is still off, then finally go to the “off” color.

By the way, I have auto-off enabled on this switch because the light will never turn off from lack of occupancy if it was turned on remotely via Zigbee and never saw an occupancy target during that operation cycle. On another switch, I use a weird combination of Wasteful Occupancy mmwave mode and auto off so that I can get events for “someone is near the switch” while keeping the light on continuous. But that’s mostly because I’m using these sensors more to tell when someone passes the switch in a stairway vs. presence in a room.

I am using the latest home assistant 2026.7.4 with zha with Firmware: 0x01030102.

There are very few configuration parameters available in the UI. I saw mention of a custom quirks that can be installed, is that still expected to be needed at this point?

Edit: updating to 2026.8.(0 or 1) seems to have fixed the issue
