VTM31-SN - Firmware (1.1.0+) Update Advisory | Inovelli Help Center

  • Double tap config to clear notifications disabled (it was also disabled in 1.0.6 but accidentally got re-enabled). The same functionality can be enabled with an automation.

V1.1.4 (beta) - February 6, 2026

  • The PartsList attribute of the Descriptor Cluster in EP1 and EP6 has been modified.
  • The FeatureMap of the Power Topology cluster in EP7 has been changed to SetTopology, and the Available Endpoints attribute of this cluster has been modified to 1 (EP1).

V1.1.3 (beta) - January 27, 2026

  • Remove EP1 Level Control Cluster Attribute OnOffTransitionTime
  • Set the following Attribute of EP6 to persistent storage: On/Off Cluster- On/Off,On/Off Cluster-StartUpOnOff ,LevelControl Cluster -CurrentLevel,LevelControl Cluster -OnLevel,LevelControl Cluster - StartUpCurrentLevel,Color Control Cluster - CurrentHue,Color Control Cluster - CurrentSaturation,Color Control Cluster - CurrentX,Color Control Cluster - CurrentY,Color Control Cluster - ColorTemperatureMireds,Color Control Cluster - ColorMode,Color Control Cluster - StartUpColorTemperatureMireds
  • Fixed an issue where binding would cause the device to freeze (note that if you want to use the binding feature, do not allow the switch to join more than three hubs)

V1.1.2 (beta) - November 28, 2025

  • Set the value of ColorTemperaturePhysicalMinMireds to 1
  • Some changes to Modeselect wording
  • Fixed the issue where the relay click setting didn’t work

V1.1.1 (beta) - September 19, 2025

Note: The mode select clusters were moved to their own endpoints (20-27) to better conform to the standards. This (temporarily) creates duplicate select devices. Restart Home Assistant and the “old” copies will show up as Not Provided devices (greyed out, dead) entities. Go to entity tabs and filer on Domain = Select, Integration = Matter, Status = Not Provided and you should be able to bulk-select and delete those.

  • Fixed Power Topology Cluster errors on EP7.
  • Set Level Cluster option: EP1 → 1; EP6 → 3.
  • Removed Mode Selection cluster from EP1–EP7.
  • Added Mode Select endpoints EP20–EP27 with the following options:
    • EP20 — Switch Mode: 0 Dimmer+Aux+Leading; 1 On/Off+Aux+Relay Enable; 2 Dimmer+Dumb+Leading (Default); 3 On/Off+Dumb; 4 Dimmer+Aux+Trailing; 9 On/Off+Aux+Relay Disable.

V1.1.0 (beta) - September 4, 2025

  • Add a new endpoint EP7 (Electrical Sensor) for the metering function (supports energy and active power) with clusters: Descriptor, Fixed Label, User Label, Mode Select, Electrical Power Measurement, Electrical Energy Measurement, and Power Topology.
  • Modify the contents related to the Descriptor cluster tag-list.
  • Add the User Label cluster for EP1–EP7.
  • Upgrade the SDK to Matter 1.4 (Silicon Labs Matter 2.6.1-1.4).
  • After being removed from Apple Home, the switch can restore to its factory settings on its own.
  • Fixed: Settings don’t survive power reset.
  • Optimize the dimming scheme

V1.0.6 (beta)

  • Changed Default Settings:
Updated defaults for Dimmer Mode and Aux Switch.
  • EP6 On/Off Cluster Update:
Changed the default value of the FeatureMap attribute to 1 to support the onWithTimedOff command.

V1.0.4

  1. Optimized part of the code to prevent NVM3 data loss in specific scenarios, which could previously result in pairing failures.
  2. Added Persistent Subscriptions:
This feature stores the hub’s subscription information in the NVM3 area, helping to establish faster communication with the hub upon power-up.

V1.0.3

  • Optimized thread transmit power.
  • Added a visual indicator: when factory settings are successfully restored, the LED bar will blink 3x red as a reminder.

If anyone is interested in testing firmware 1.1.0, please reach out. The firmware is available in the “testnet” DCL registry so it can be applied to Apple Home (with a special profile installed) and can manually be installed for Home Assistant users (through some configuration changes). It takes some work to get it.

A special note is that it causes a problem with the dumb switch detection in some environments so there should be a fix for that in the future. If you are using a dumb switch, you might want to wait until that gets resolved.

Can I please test it? I’m getting lots of flickering, so hopefully this will eliminate that behavior. I’m on Home Assistant, for what it’s worth.

Sure, I just PMd you.

I’m interested in the 1.1.0 firmware for Apple Home. I have one switch in aux setup that’s causing a lot of flickering no matter what bulbs or settings I use.

I would be willing to trial the firmware but I only have SmartThings and Google - my devices are set up multi-admin. It doesn’t appear as those are options for testing. If they are or you ever need feedback from those 2 platforms please let me know.

@cxh9055 I might be able to set something up for Google. I think I can push the update to certain switch “addresses”. I will PM you.

@o.flanagans I’ll PM you with info about Apple Home.

I would like to test 1.1.0 as well. Ideally via Home Assistant but I use a HomePod Mini as my TBR so I could multi-admin and apply it via Apple Home if need be.

I am interested if you’re still taking people!

I am also interested. I am using home assistant.

I commissioned mine into Google Home and then use multi admin with Home assistant, and would be willing to test it

@jonahmmay @Kepesk @inovelli.shaft035 @briengerber I have PMd you guys.

I would love to help beta test in Home Assistant

Would also be willing to test. Currently only have a dimmer switch and the canopy connected. Apple BR with HA running it.

@RSmith @Brian8 I have PMd you both.

@EricM_Inovelli My Apple Home is now showing that firmware version 1.1.1 is available for the switches. Is there a changelog or anything of note for this version?

I’ve added the changelog for 1.1.1. Here is a note regarding the update:

Note: The mode select clusters were moved to their own endpoints (20-27) to better conform to the standards. This (temporarily) creates duplicate select devices. Restart Home Assistant and the “old” copies will show up as Not Provided devices (greyed out, dead) entities. Go to entity tabs and filer on Domain = Select, Integration = Matter, Status = Not Provided and you should be able to bulk-select and delete those.

So take that into account before updating as it might require some additional effort. This is still a beta firmware so there might be other changes coming soon down the road.

I would love to test! I have HA running right now but can also test out Apple Home if needed.

Hey folks who are trying out the white series 1.1 beta,

How is it working for you all? So far, I haven’t run into any major issues, and I also haven’t seen the intermittent issue anymore where the white series goes “unavailable”/“offline” (i.e. see this post White Switch Stops Working Daily - #17 by feedyurhed)

I’m not sure if this is just a benefit of Matter 1.4, or if it’s something that @EricM_Inovelli actively fixed as part of this beta, or if I just happen stance haven’t run into the issue yet…but so far so good for me.
